Cookie Policy

What cookies are, which ones this site relies on, and how to take control of them.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device when you visit. They can keep a site working properly — remembering your preferences, keeping a session alive, or helping the site understand how it's being used. Some cookies are set by the site you're visiting (first-party), others by external services embedded in the page (third-party).

2. How Voleroni Uses Cookies

Voleroni is deliberately light on cookies. The site is a read-and-browse editorial magazine — there's no account system, no advertising network and no tracking pixels. Here's the honest picture:

  • Essential cookies: our hosting environment may set strictly necessary cookies required for the site to be delivered securely and reliably. You can't opt out of these without breaking the site's basic operation.
  • Preference cookies: the site does not currently use preference cookies. Settings you make during a visit (like closing a dialog) are not remembered between sessions.
  • Analytics cookies: not currently used. We do not run Google Analytics or equivalent tracking, and no analytics cookies are set by this site.
  • Advertising cookies: never used. Voleroni carries no advertising and no affiliate tracking.

3. Local Storage

Separate from cookies, browsers offer "local storage" for remembering state. Voleroni's interactive features — the menu, dialogs and forms — work entirely in the moment and do not write persistent data to your device.

4. Third-Party Content

Pages may load fonts from Google's font service to render our typography. Loading these resources means your browser connects to Google's servers, which may record the request under Google's own policies. No other third-party embeds are used on the site.

5. Managing Cookies

You can control or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings:

  • Block cookies: most browsers let you refuse all cookies, or only third-party cookies.
  • Delete cookies: you can clear stored cookies for this site (or all sites) from your browser's privacy or history settings.
  • Per-site controls: many browsers allow you to set cookie rules for individual websites.

Because Voleroni doesn't depend on non-essential cookies, blocking them won't meaningfully change your reading experience.

6. Changes to This Policy

If we introduce new features that use cookies — for example, remembering your preferences or privacy-respecting analytics — we'll update this page before enabling them.
